Philip Maxwell joined Dove in 2008, and he leads the Group, and its subsidiary companies. He is responsible to the Board for achieving the Group’s Business Plan objectives.
Prior to joining Dove Energy, Mr Maxwell has worked in the oil and gas industry for more than 34 years in a variety of roles, ranging from upstream new ventures, to managing oil & gas production companies. He has worked on projects in many of the world’s basins from offices in the UK, Ireland, Australia, Oman, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Dubai. He spent the first 20 years of his career with BP, and has also worked with Pennzoil , Ramco, Amerada Hess, and Dubai Petroleum.
Mr. Maxwell holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Physics from Southampton University, UK.
DAVID MONTGOMERY Chief Operating Officer
David has 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in Petroleum Engineering and Joint Venture Commercial Management , spanning the North Sea, Thailand, Nigeria, Syria, Brazil and Yemen, mostly with Unocal and laterly with Dove Energy. He also has extensive commercial expertise in oil export terminal operations, and was mandated by the Sullom Voe Terminal owners to negotiate the terms of various delivery, storage and export agreements.
David is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London and he is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Geology from Nottinghan University and an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College, London.
JAMES GORDON HUME (MBA; ACIB)
Chief Financial Officer
James is Chief Financial Officer, responsible for all financial aspects of Dove Energy’s business, with particular emphasis on relationships with joint venture partners and other investors.
Moving to Dubai in 2002, he was responsible for all aspects of business development strategy and implementation, for the Dubai International Financial Centre. James also served as Senior Executive Officer of the DIFC Branch of Jersey based Volaw Trust & Corporate Services Limited; established IDS International Limited; a specialist investment fund administration company and established Omega Marketing Consultants, a financial consultancy.
His career includes 16 years at the Bank of America, in a number of international positions including Global Treasurer - The Private Bank; San Francisco and London; Director of Sales - BankAmerica International, New York; CEO – BankAmerica Trust and Banking Corporation, Cayman Islands; CFO - World Banking Group, Asia Division, based in Tokyo and Head of Liability Product Development, based in San Francisco.
ROWLAND BROWNE
Accounting Manager
Rowland qualified as an Accountant with Shaw & Co Chartered Accountants in the United Kingdom, and is qualified Chartered Secretary. He served with Hess, Energy Africa and Anglo American Corporation, in a 25 year career spanning the United Kingdom, North & South Africa.
He is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants (FCCA), and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ACIS), and has a Certificate in International Financial Reporting (IFRS).
PHILIP GARTH CLEGG General Manager, Dove Energy Limited
Philip Garth Clegg joined Dove Energy Group in 2010 and is the General Manager of Dove Energy Limited, Yemen.
Mr. Clegg has worked in the upstream oil & gas industry for more than 35 years and has had experience managing projects in Kazakhstan, Serbia, Islamabad and Jakarta; He has managed a variety of projects for Unocal in his 15 years with them. He has also worked with Shell, McDermott’s and the OMV Group.
Mr. Clegg holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Honours degree from the University of Leeds, UK.He is also a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (MIMechE).
Ian Anderson
Sub - Surface Manager, Dove Energy Limited
Ian Anderson joined the Dove Group in 2005 as Exploration Manager based in Aberdeen. In 2010 he was seconded to Dove Energy Yemen Ltd as Subsurface Development Manager based in Sana’a, Yemen and Dubai.
Ian has 34 years experience in the oil industry mostly with medium to large oil companies as a geoscientist working in exploration and field development with Mobil Oil Canada, Deminex and Phillips Petroleum and more recently as Chief Geophysicist for Dana Petroleum working mainly in the UKCS, West and North Africa.
Ian holds an Earth Sciences Bachelor of Science Honours degree from Lancaster University, UK.
